Hi, welcome to Getnoticedonline, which I hope will be something just a little bit different for you. I’m John Walsh a professional journalist and broadcaster for 45 years. For the last nine years I’ve been freelance, working from home, but originally joined Cumbrian Newspapers in 1963 as a trainee reporter. Can I say here and now that I’ve enjoyed every minute of my career – I still enjoy getting up in the morning knowing I’ve work to do – and look forward to many more years of active journalism. But the internet has changed the profession profoundly and I believe we are going to see even more changes. I would like to be part of that change. By launching getnoticedonline I had an idea for incorporating newspapers, magazines, radio and tv under one banner. I call it magateladio news. Remember you heard it first here. When you visit the site I want to give you lots of options for staying with us – seeing and hearing and reading a variety of different topics, hopefully of interest. In years to come I can see people being able to producie good family radio and tv shows and putting them out on the internet. There are so many interesting subjects out there. The sky’s the limit to what can be provided. I want getnoticedonline to become a pioneer in this respect – and be professionally respected in how it goes about the task. Feed back is so important in launching a new project, so I’d love to hear any comments – good and bad. Suggestions are always welcome.
