Chris MillerCUMBERLAND off-spinner Chris Miller (pictured) has bowled himself into the record books by taking all ten wickets in a 3-D Sports Northern League match.

Miller took 10-51 for Netherfield in their win over Carnforth which took them to the top of the table.

In his spell from the pavilion end, Miller had six of his victims caught; he bowled three of them and he had one trapped leg before wicket. Carnforth were dismissed for 99 chasing Netherfield’s 185-9.

Only one other bowler in Northern League history has taken all ten wickets - and that was Colin Hilton, the Morecambe professional, who took 10-39 in 1969. He was a lightning quick bowler in his time who was a County Championship player with both Lancashire and Essex (pictured below, right).Colin Hilton

Carnforth's substitute professional Wayne Madsen made 57 of the paltry Canforth total and was Miller’s most prized wicket.

Netherfield’s Australian professional Callum Ferguson was their top scorer with 103 not out, giving him 1,307 for the season which leaves him 44 short of equalling Terry Hunte's aggregate league batting record.
