The first Cumbria Cricket League Fixture takes place this week-end (Sunday 26th April) and what a start to the season!

Last year’s League winners Cleator III take on Workington III at the Ernest Valentine Ground.

Both teams provided opportunities to a number of up and coming players last season and it is hoped that the league, which is contested between teams in the west of the County, will continue to provide junior players with a stepping stone to senior, first or second team cricket.

This year, the league fixtures commence right from the outset with the Cup competitions being played later in the season at which point it is hoped that two new teams will be able to also contest these.
