Carlisle Green were among the runs in the Under-15’s League game against Nunwick Gold.
The city side batted first and thanks to some attacking shots and nimble singles were able to progress well throughout the innings, finishing with 160 - 2. (P. Richardson 35 ret, Ganga-Nair 31 ret, J. Oultram 30 ret.
Nunwick responded well, attacking early in the innings before falling short as the run rate increased. (H. Bashall 30 ret, R. Collin 30 ret). For Carlisle K. Hull 2-0-7-2 and A. Herd 2-0-4-2 had the best figures.
Cockermouth Green had to concede their game against Cleator while Cockermouth Gold lost to Egremont in a thrilling finish.
Cockermouth batted first and although they were missing a number of regulars, soon rattled up some quick runs. After 10 overs they were 76-2, with Jack Edmundson scoring a very quick 31, which included six 4's and a six.
The innings was then turned on its head, firstly by Ade Mellen (3-14 from his four overs) and then by Mark Jackson who took 4 wickets for one run in 1.3 overs. Egremont responded positively with Ollie Burn (32 ret) and Haydn Birkett (19) putting on 44 for the first wicket in seven overs.
However wickets fell regularly as the run chase got tense and a couple of late run outs saw Egremont needing two of the last over bowled by Ward.
A wicket off the first ball and a run out of the third ball left the result in the balance before a scrambled bye saw Egremont home with two balls to spare.
In the other games Lanercost 113-3 lost to Penrith Gold 115-2.
Penrith Green 75ao (R Martin 28 J Dixon 4-0-13-2 N Watt 3.2-0-4-5) lost to Wigton 76-4 (M Hill 33 ret, D Watters 20no, S Cameron 4-0-10-2).

Wigton's openers (Piele and Mulholland) put on 75 in the first ten overs with ten boundaries.
Williams, after a dot ball first up, then proceeded to reach a retiring score from his next nine balls (3 sixes, 2 fours). Rhys Jones took two late wickets and Dan Swann bowled a tidy spell for the home side.
Opening bowler Luke Jackman then blew away the Corby batting effort with a devastating opening spell of six wickets (five clean bowled). He was ably supported by opening partner Robinson.
Fergus Spencer hit a couple of late boundaries but Corby fell short of gaining a bonus point when he was last man out

Seascale 68-5 (Will King 21 E. Malloy 3 - 19 J. Welford 1 - 5 L. Skilbeck 1 - 7) beat Cockermouth 58ao (D. Poole 16 Billy Grant 2 - 5 Tom King 1 - 3 Clare Jackson 1 - 22)
This was a day for the bowlers at Seascale. After being put in to bat, Seascale scored quickly while Will King was at the crease. Once he was out though, tight bowling restricted the scoring over the last overs limiting the score to 68-5.
When Cockermouth batted, they were quickly on the back foot after losing a couple of early wickets. D. Poole bought some stability back to the innings but when he was out tight fielding from Seascale (which resulted in six run outs) saw Cockermouth all out for 58, ten short of the Seascale total.
Threlkeld v Lanercost No Play - Rain
Workington 60-5 (Daniel Robson 25 Shannon Rumney 4-1-5-2 J Bowden 3-0-11-2) beat Whitehaven 57ao (Dean Henderson 22 Jack Richardson 2-7 Oliver Wilson 4-2-5-2 Jack Rumney 1-1-0-2)
This was a good low-scoring encounter between two excellent teams. Whitehaven batted first and were well led by Dean Henderson (22). Unfortunately wickets kept falling at the other end, preventing Whitehaven from gaining any momentum, eventually closing on 57 all out.
There was some excellent fielding and bowling by a keen Workington side, with notable performances from Oliver Wilson 4-2-5-2, Jack Richardson 4-0-7-2, and Jack Rumney 1-1-0-2.
In response Workington's innings was built around a strong partnership of 37 by Daniel Robson 25, and Oliver Wilson 12 not out. Some excellent bowling from Shannon Rumney 4-1-5-2 was not enough to prevent her from finishing on the losing team
