With the Blue Square North season coming to a close a after a long season for all 22 clubs things are starting to take shape at both ends of the table.
After the results of Saturday we now know the 3 clubs condemded to relegation to the Unibond. Hucknall Town were already down going into this weekends fixtures after just 5 wins this season, but we now know who will be joining them next season both Hyde Utd and Burscough both neeeded to win and hope that results went their way to atleast take it to the final day, that however was not the case Burscough slumped to a 4-0 defeat at playoff chasing Stalybridge while Hyde went down in the crulest of ways a 90th minute winner for Redditch at the Valley Stadium that put together with Blyth's 1-1 draw with Gainsborough made it no longer possible to avoid the drop.
At the top the Championship is still up for grabs and it is a 3 horse race for the title Tamworth are in the box seat and can clinch it in front of their own supporters with a win when they play Hinckley Utd at the Lamb of Tuesday night. Southport in 3rd like Tamworth have played a game fewer than their other rival Gateshead(2nd) and travel to Blyth Spartans on the same night knowing only a win could keep them in the hunt.
In terms of the play offs it will be two of the three chasing the title along with AFC Telford and Alfreton in the current positions but both Droylsden and Stalybridge still have a chance all be it a very slim one.
