Doncaster Rovers are giving a week`s trial to Barrow striker Jason Walker after he impressed against them on Saturday.

The striker was impressive even though his side lost 2-0 on Saturday to Doncaster.

The 25 year old will train with Rovers this week and will also feature in a trial game on Tuesday.

Walker still has two years left on his contract so a fee will be involved if he joins Rovers.

Barrow joint manager Dave Bayliss believes that he will have no problem stepping up form the Blue Square conference to the Championship if Rovers decide to sign the front man.
'I think he can definitely hold his own in the Championship; he's quick, powerful, has a good touch and scores goals - he's the complete striker," said Bayliss.

Walker finished last season as Barrow’s top scorer with 12 goals and was the scorer of their goal in the 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.
