Andrew Williamson scored Jarrow’s equaliser and it was extremely disappointing for Windscale when they conceded the late penalty.
Whitehaven won 3-0 at fifth-bottom Coxhoe Athletic with goals from Michael Farrer (2) and Stephen Hewitt.
Jarrow have two home games left and then finish off at Annfield Plain on May 14. They host mid-table Boldon on Wednesday and entertain fourth-placed Ryhope next Saturday.
Whitehaven finish off on Saturday at home to bottom side Silksworth. They have a superior goal difference to Jarrow.
