ONLY two matches went ahead at the weekend as the Workington Sunday League was again hit by foul weather.
Miners Arms, Workington – bottom of the Premier Division without a win – extended that to nine games as they lost 6-1 at home to Northside.
Man of the match Gareth O’Leary, Michal Pickering and Michael O’Leary each scored two goals. Darren McAllister replied for the Miners.
In the Second Division leaders William Hill were 4-0 winners at Seaton Village as Mark Hine and Trevor Holm grabbed a brace apiece.
