romar_workwear.jpgWorkington Reds have announced three major new sponsorship deals for the 2010/11 season.

Romar (pictured alongside) are again to be the club’s main sponsors after their support to the club’s most successful season in years.

It's an increased figure from last season when Reds reached the play-offs and the quarter finals of the FA Trophy

Reay’s, who transport the team to away games, have now officially signed-up as Reds’ travel partners for the new season which starts for them on Monday, August 16 with a trip to Hyde. reays_1.jpg

The third new sponsor on board will be Jennings of Cockermouth, major brewers who will be linking-up with the club for the first time and have been welcomed on board as business partners.

Commercial manager Les Smallwood said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome on board three excellent local firms who are prepared to back our football club.

“The club will be holding a special evening on July 23 to welcome our new sponsors and make them feel part of what we regard as a major team effort from the top to the bottom with everyone playing a part.

“Life is going to be tough, because of the economy, but we feel as though we are moving forward as a club and together we can take it to the point where we want to be. These are exciting times at Workington football club and we want to keep moving forward.”

Reds expect to have new sponsorship boxes up on place at the river end of the ground in time for the start of the new season and other key backers for the club will be involved.

A new toilet block will be included in the development while work on the new floodlights will be completed before the start of the season on August 14.
