dave_hewson.jpgWorkington Reds are set to be unchanged for the fifth game in a row when they travel to Gainsborough Trinity tomorrow.

But whatever happens at Northolme, manager Darren Edmondson will have to change the line-up for Monday’s home game against Vauxhall.

Skipper Dave Hewson, who was sent-off during the 3-2 win at Hyde for a second bookable offence, will serve a one match suspension.

Edmondson said: “Everyone is fine after Tuesday’s game and we are looking to extend our run against Trinity.

“But we will have to be more purposeful about how we start because I thought we didn’t get into the game as quickly as should have done against Harrogate.

“That could be costly against good team because starting at the right tempo is very important to the way we play.”

Although Edmondson has retained the same line-up so far he has made alterations on the bench with Callum Ruttledge, Adam Main and Johnny Blake all having matches when they have not been included among the substitutes.

Blake missed-out on a place with the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain after making it through to the final selection game. He’s now intent on forging a career with Reds.

“Johnny was disappointed to miss-out but he’s a good footballer. He and the others on the bench so far just need to be patient and make sure that when their opportunity comes they take it.

“We have some good players in the squad and that can only help the team progress. One or two of them have been disappointed at not getting a chance so far but I have asked them to be patient and then show what they can do when they are called upon,” said Edmondson.

Opponents Gainsborough won their first game of the season at Worcester but have then slipped-up with three successive defeats – 3-2 at home to Guiseley; 5-0 at home to Telford and 2-1 at Alfreton on Tuesday.

Now Trinity have signed Barrow defender Andrew Milne on a one-month loan deal and he is set to play against the Reds tomorrow.

Centre-half Milne, 19, began his career with Leeds United before being released this summer, and agreed a permanent switch to Holker Street in August.

Having featured in the club's first two league matches, the Scotland under-18 international has now been allowed to go out on loan for match experience.

He also enjoyed two loan spells at Darlington in League Two last season.
