The Lakes Parish Council has launched a pilot scheme until March 31 employing a parish handyman.
Robin Lees will work throughout the area and concentrate on litter, dog fouling, sign painting and cleaning, bench/seat maintenance or repairs.
The Council has decided to use £1600 already in the budget but have put a further £5000 in the 2008/9 budget to enable it to continue as they envisage it being a success.
