Cumbria are to take part in the revived BBC2 Floodlit Trophy competition which is set to be dusted down again after almost 30 years.
Leeds Metropolitan University is host a nine-a-side tournament at Headingley Carnegie on Wednesday, August 27 when six Super League clubs will also take part.
Bradford, Huddersfield, Hull, Hull KR, Leeds and Wakefield are the Super League representatives in an entry of ten teams.
To be known as the Carnegie Floodlit 9's the University hosts, along with Cumbria, the British Army and a UK-based Fijian side will complete the line-up.
The original trophy was awarded annually from 1965-79 to the winners of the first major sporting competition to be played regularly under floodlights.
Three winners of the original trophy - Hull KR, Hull and Leeds - will be taking part in the tournament, which also revives the tradition of the Headingley Sevens which was hosted by Leeds from 1965-78.
Before the main event, amateur clubs and development teams will take part in an invitational junior tournament.
