Whitehaven’s opening game in the Northern Rail Cup today has become a victim of the weather.

The hard frost has returned with a vengeance over the last two nights and the Recreation Park failed to pass an early morning inspection today.

Batley Bulldogs were suitably informed and the clubs will be working on coming-up with a new date for the fixture.

Whitehaven held their shirt presentation night on Thursday and, of course, Getnoticedonline.co.uk were represented by MAL WALKER.
