Workington Town’s Co-operative Championship One clash with South Wales Scorpions on Sunday has been brought forward two hours.
It will start at 1pm so that people can support Town and then, if they so wish, watch the England versus Germany game in the last sixteen of the World Cup.
Town fans will be able to stay at the ground and watch the international in the Derwent Lounge if they so desire.
It’s a busy day at Derwent Park because at 7pm the Workington Comets take-on Berwick Bandits in a Premier League Knockout Cup match. The extra two ours gives staff that much longer to prepare the fence etc for the speedway.
The following Engage Super League and Co-operative Championships fixtures have been rescheduled to avoid a clash with England’s match

Kick-off times for the following fixtures may also be subject to change: Crusaders RL v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and Swinton Lions v Blackpool Panthers. The RFL will publish further details once they are available.
South Wales Scorpions, who are staying overnight on Saturday, have fully supported the kick-off change and the visiors should feature a similar squad to those who appeared in last week's 30-25 victory at home to Rochdale Hornets.
However Matt Hutchings is out due to personal commitments; Craig Richards in doubt due to illness and Aled James will face a late fitness check.
Scorpions coach Anthony Seibold said: "We are under no illusions that this week will be a tough away trip. Workington are a very good side at home and it will be a massive challenge for us to get something out of this weekend's encounter as the match is crucial as we both sit near each other on the Competition table.
"We have prepared well and will keep a similar team to the one that did the job against Rochdale last week. They deserve another opportunity due to their performance last week and we will look to challenge the players to reproduce the effort and attitude displayed.
“Consistency is the key for any team or player that has ambition and that is something that we are learning. We know the threats of Workington include players such as Andrew Beattie, Scott Kaighan, Liam Finch, Jack Pedley and their big pack has been a real strength for them.
“We need to try and best as possible nullify their threats as they are a very good team in this Division when fit and healthy and it appears they will be this weekend with players returning and after a good result away at Swinton."
Workington Town's front row should be propped back up on Sunday with the return of Ryan MacDonald and Lee Dutton.
The duo plan on making their comebacks from injury against the Scorpions and in a further boost to their side, their half-back Liam Finch should also be in contention.
"Hopefully we will have all three back for Sunday," said Workington boss Gary Charlton. "Ryan had his knee clear out last week, there was a bit of rubbish in there so now he is feeling a lot better. He says he has full movement back in his knee which is great."
On the Scorpions, Charlton added: “We played them in the first game of the season. They’re a pretty handy outfit. We know it’s going to be a hard game, and South Wales are playing some decent rugby at the moment. We’ve got to look after what we can do and if we play to our potential then I’m sure we can get a win.”
