WORKINGTON Town have made five changes to their starting line-up for Sunday’s Challenge Cup clash at Featherstone.
Kris Coward, Jack Pedley and Brett Carter all miss out with injuries while others are rested as coaches Gary Charlton and Martin Oglanby look at other members of their squad.
Charlton said: “It was always our intention to look at the lads who didn’t play at South Wales, whoever we had drawn in the Challenge Cup.
“People like John Lebbon, Martyn Wilson and Ryan Campbell hven’t had much game time so far but they will getthe chance on Sunday.”
Jarrad Stack trained last night after there were conerns over his fitness following a knock at Neath but he came through it well an takes his place alongside skipper Mike Whiehead in the second row.
Opponens Featherstone were in action last night in a Northern Rail Cup re-arranged game at Hunslet Hawks.
But with Hunslet resting fourteen and Rovers resting nine of their line ups from the opening league fixtures last Sunday this was always going to be a game that tested the depth of squads over anything else.
The Featherstone fans, however, got their money's worth as the Rovers ran in 12 tries and nilled the opposition.
Whatever the opposition, Rovers could come away pleased with the standard of some of the tries and the tightness of their defence.
Town at Featherstone: Lebbon, Frazer, Beattie, J. Finch, Wilson, L. Finch, Kaighan, McGoff, Marshall, Dutton, Whitehead, Stack, Campbell. SDubs: Burgess, Robinson, McKenna, Coupar.
