Shaun Lunt back to boost Rotheram PDF Print E-mail

Franco KmetRobert Lunt and Franco Kmet will miss Workington Town’s tasty Friday night clash (8pm) against Doncaster.

Kmet (pictured alongside) scored the try which gave Workington their only National Two win so far this season at York.

But there is a boost for coach Dave Rotheram in that influential hooker Shaun Lunt is back and firing on all cylinders.

Despite Town’s poor showing so far this season, Rotheram is relishing the challenge of taking on unbeaten Doncaster.

Rotheram said: “It will be a big test for us. Hopefully we can learn the lessons from what happened to us against Barrow and apply them in this game.

“Doncaster are a well-structured, disciplined team from what I’ve seen of them. They’ve got key men at stand-off and hooker and they’re probably the form team at the minute.”

Workington crashed 66-6 in their last game a fortnight ago at Barrow and Rotheram insists his players will be out to make amends in front of their own fans.

Doncaster coach Ellery Hanley is hoping to welcome back former Australian international Chris McKenna for the trip to Cumbria.

Zeb Luisi (knee) and Corey Lawrie (concussion), April’s National League Two Player of the Month, are both expected to have fully recovered from their recent problems
