Town have to switch Barrow game PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 29 April 2008

Workington Town’s Cumbrian derby at Barrow has been moved to Saturday afternoon.

The original plan was to play at Craven Park on Friday night (7.30pm) but was changed to 7.15pm because of continuing concerns over the floodlights.

But now it has been moved to Saturday with a 3pm start because Barrow do not want to risk the floodlights failing as they did three weeks ago against Blackpool.

The game had to be abandoned after a small fire in the ground’s fuse box caused the lights to malfunction.

Barrow say that it won’t mean the end to their proposed regular Friday slot and they hope to be back in action on Friday, May 16 when Rochdale visit Craven Park.
