Jackson family and Carlisle club in Hospice presentation PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 22 March 2010

jackson_family.jpgA special presentation was made at Carlisle rugby club on Saturday ahead of the North One East game with Percy Park.

It was to staff from the Eden Valley Hospice following a recent fund-raising event organised in memory of Hannah Jackson (wife of club stalwart Geoff and mum of assistant coach Colin).

It raised over £5,000 for the hospice in recognition and appreciation of the wonderful care given to Hannah in her final days.

The family combined with Carlisle RFC to organise a pie and pea supper, auction and raffles.  A signed England shirt from Steve Borthwick was the top auction lot and realised £1000.

The family, as well as the Carlisle club, would like to express their sincere appreciation for all the help and support they received in organising the event, and especially those who donated prizes and gave their services free.

In the picture Geoff Jackson is presenting the cheque to staff from the Eden Valley Hospice.
