Clip of the Day, July 1st, 2008 - Screaming Lord Sutch - Til the following night

I noticed the Palace Ballroom, Maryport is in the news again - possibly for the last time. Well this is my tribute to the place with the finest artistic performance I saw there.

The curtains opened and through the gloom you could just pick out a coffin in the middle of the stage. The spotlight trained on it as the lid slowly creaked open and to the required sound effects Lord Sutch slowly emerged, cloak unfurled and ready to perform this knockout piece.

On a statistical note I think it has been confirmed that the Monster Raving Loony Party, founded by Sutch, registered their most votes in a General Election when they were represented in the Workington constituency.

And by the way wasn't it Sutch that campaigned for all-day drinking 20 years ago?
